Red Giant Brings ILM To Your Desktop

A few weeks back, we reported the Red Giant had put their entire toolset into a single product called Red Giant Complete. Better still, they made Red Giant Complete entirely free for students, teachers and faculty members at high schools, universities or colleges.

Unfamiliar with Red Giant? Need a Game of Thrones dragon in your film? They’ve got you covered. Do you need your Jedi to “force push” a Sith across the room in your fan film? They’ve got you! Need to have your superhero glow with the power of a thousand suns? They’ve. Got You. Name a jaw-dropping effect from a summer blockbuster in the last five years and you’ll likely find a tutorial on it the free Red Giant Tutorial library.

To help you get a sense of all of the tools available in the VFX Suite, we’ve compiled Red Giant’s VFX Suite product demos into a single Youtube playlist.

Red Giant VFX Suite – Features Overviews

Individually, the tools found in VFX suite would cost you $1500; bundled within VFX Suite: $999. Bundled yet again … with EVERY tool Red Giant makes? Red Giant Compete: $599/yr; free if you are a student or educator.

Hard to beat those deals. Harder still to make excuses for not delivering your effects-heavy short film.
