SxSW Canceled? Watch Shorts Online!

Mailchimp SxSW 2020

In what has to count as good news, we found out today that lots of SXSW short films can be watched for free, online, thanks to a sponsorship from Oscilloscope and Mailchimp.

Lots of filmmakers were counting on the SXSW venue to gain an audience for their work. Thanks to COVID-19, that isn’t happening – at least not how we all thought it would.

Instead, you can see 75 of these films online, streaming for free at Mailchimp Presents SXSW Shorts –

This includes narrative, documentary, animated, and Midnight films, Grand Jury Prize-winning films, like Just Hold On, No Crying at the Dinner Table, and Regret, as well as films that received Special Jury

Certainly, this won’t replace the experience of hanging out with creatives in Austin, but it does give some of the folks who worked really hard on their movies a chance to show their work.
